Baby Totes

By admin | February 2, 2010

This is the pattern to my toddler totes.

Bottom: 13 high and 31 wide

Short sides: 20 high and 13 wide

Long sides: 20 high and 31 wide

Handles: 5 high and 34 wide

To make this totes you need to cut out the pieces of 7 mesh plastic canvas as stated above. You will need one bottom, 2 short sides, 2 long sides, and 2 handle pieces. You will also need a 5 cm yarn needles.

After cutting out the pieces you need to stitch them. Stitch whatever design you want. The take the bottom pieces and sew on one short side. the back of the short side must be facing in while the right side of the bottom was face up.

Next sew on a long side wrong side in and right side out. Do this with the other pieces till you have a box.

Sew the unfinished edge at the top of the box.

Sew both handles together and then place long ways on each side and sew on each side.

My first batch of baby things

By admin | February 2, 2010

I have been working hard since Mary told us about Grandma’s House. Here are some of the things that are the first of many I will and have made. The hats were done in satin yarn, the care bears and pooh are fleece receiving blankets, and the Ariel and purple fabby blankets are receiving blankets too. So far I have 6 receiving blankets, 4 hats with number 5 started.

Lastly is a pattern of my own making. It’s for the older kids to carry around little things around in. Like little cars or dolls, or books.

I will be posting the pattern for the little totes so everyone can make more. I’m only able to make 5.

I got some sewing things, some project cards, and floss and fabby. Here below is what I got today.

These are my little tea cups. I found the pattern at crafters community. These are for mother’s day and one is for my therapist when she leave in june. They took about 12 hours to make. Boy were they a pain in the ass to cut out.
